ELITE IRISH AMATEUR star Eoghan Lavin has signed promotional terms with Frank Warren and Queensberry ahead of beginning his journey in the professional ranks.

Lavin, who will compete at either super welterweight or middleweight, enjoyed incredible success in the amateur code, recording over 100 wins at national and international level. He is a nine-time National champion and a European Championship silver medallist.

The 20-year-old from Midfield in Swinford will be trained by former lightweight world champion Anthony Crolla.

“I am thrilled to finally announce I have signed a Promotional agreement with Hall of Fame Promoter Frank Warren and Queensbury Promotions,” said Lavin. “This is a huge opportunity for me, one which every boxer dreams of as a kid.

“I am also delighted to confirm I will be managed by Anthony Joshua and the team at 258 MGMT and David McGinley Sport.

“I have been training tirelessly in the gym under the guidance of former world champion Anthony Crolla, and I’m excited to display what we have been working on for boxing fans on TNT Sport.”

Freddie Cunningham from 258 MGMT added: “It is great to be working with Frank and George to guide a very talented young prospect in Eoghan.”

Hall of Fame promoter Frank Warren is delighted to be charged with guiding the career of another exceptional young talent.

“Eoghan is clearly an elite performer who we all have the utmost confidence in to excel in the professional ranks.
