RAVEN CHAPMAN IS the current First Lady of the Frank Warren and Queensberry stable of fighters.
The 29-year-old is also referred to as the ‘Queen of Queensberry’ and she made a stunning impression in her first fight under the promotional banner when she viciously set about Gabriella Mezei at York Hall and the fight was over in just 58 seconds.
Her reward for making such a favourable first impression on her Queensberry fight makers was a slot on the card topped by the big heavyweight showdown between Joe Joyce and Joseph Parker in Manchester on September 24, 2022, live on BT Sport Box Office.
In just her fourth fight as a professional, she jumped in with a former world champion with the vacant WBC International featherweight title at stake, taking on Jorgelina Guanini, bidding to jump in the fast lane towards world title contention.
It was a gamble well worth taking because ‘The Omen’ comfortably outpointed Guanini and is now considered potentially a big player on the world scene.
Her Manchester experience was made all the more special by her making a connection with Puerto Rican superstar Amanda Serrano and the pair shared a meal together following the weigh-in.
With them both being featherweights, Chapman took a particular interest in Serrano further unifying the division with victory over Sarah Mahfoud and the new friends have since expressed a willingness to fight each other at some stage.
Chapman joined the professional ranks in September 2021 following a productive amateur career that yielded two National titles, as well as recognition by both Team England and GB Boxing.
Due to the delay following the outbreak of Covid-19, she declined the opportunity to participate in the Olympics and opted to set the ball rolling on a new venture in the paid ranks under the guidance of manager Stefy Bull.
