At today’s official weigh-in at Stratford’s Copper Box Arena in London, unbeaten Heavyweight prospect Hughie Fury and New Orleans-based opponent Fred Kassi both hit the weight on the scales ahead of their Vacant WBO Intercontinental Heavyweight title showdown.
Manchester’s Fury, 19-0 10 KO’s, and ‘Big’ Fred Kassi, 18-4-1 10 KO’s, headline tomorrow night’s (Saturday 30th April) mouth-watering night of action at the Copper Box Arena, exclusively live on BoxNation. Fury, looking to bag himself his first professional title, hit the scales at 16 stone 7lbs while big-hitting Kassi weighed in at 16 stone 9lbs.
The chief supporting bout also weighed in with British and Commonwealth Super-Featherweight champion Liam Walsh and challenger Troy James who finally go head-to-head with both titles on the line. Unbeaten Cromer star Walsh, 19-0 13 KO’s, came in at 9 stone 3lbs while Coventry’s ‘Terrifying’ Troy hit the scales at 9 stone 3lbs.
Also weighing in at the Copper Box was Liam Walsh’s twin brother Ryan, who makes the second defence of his British title against Belfast ace James Tennyson. Graham Everett-trained Walsh came in at 8 stone 13lbs with Tennyson also weighing 8 stone 13lbs.
Commonwealth Super-Flyweight Champion Anthony Nelson defends his title against Belfast’s unbeaten Jamie Conlan. Nelson came in at 8 stone 2lbs while challenger Conlan came in at 8 stone 2lbs.
