Nathaniel Collins vs Cristobal Lorente II

The European featherweight title will once again be at stake when Nathaniel Collins and Cristobal Lorente meet in a highly anticipated rematch at the OVO Hydro, Glasgow on Friday, April 17, live worldwide on DAZN.

‘Score 2 Settle’, the Friday Fight Night special will also feature a British title double-header and a mouth-watering middleweight clash for the WBA International championship, as a stacked card takes shape in Scotland’s fight capital.

Tickets for ‘Score 2 Settle’ - Collins vs Lorente II - at the OVO Hydro on Friday, April 17 go on Queensberry & Venue presale at 12pm on Tuesday, 24 February and on general sale at 12pm on Wednesday 25 February, available from ticketmaster.co.uk. Fans are advised to secure their seats early for what promises to be another unforgettable night of championship boxing in Glasgow.

The 160lb action will see undefeated Glasgow Celtic champion Aston Brown (9-0, 5 KOs) face his toughest test to date against former English and Commonwealth super welterweight champion Sam Gilley (18-2-1, 9 KOs).

Maintaining the featherweight theme of the headline attraction, elite young talent Royston Barney-Smith (15-0, 7 KOs) steps up to contest the vacant British and Commonwealth titles against Conor McIntosh (10-2, 1 KO).

British title action continues at super bantamweight, where Newarthill’s Dylan Arbuckle (9-0, 3 KOs) puts his unbeaten record on the line against the undefeated Nico Leivars (7-0-1, 1 KO) from south of the border.

The main event rivals fought to a dramatic split draw in their first encounter at the Braehead Arena last October, a gripping contest that saw the EBU title on the line and also served as a final eliminator for a shot at the WBC world championship.

Scorecards read 115-113 apiece, with the third judge calling it 114-114, leaving both fighters convinced they had done enough to emerge victorious.

Now, Glasgow favourite Collins and Barcelona’s Lorente — both 29 — have the opportunity to leave no doubt, as they look to put an emphatic stamp on their rivalry and move a decisive step closer to world title contention.

“The first fight was a cracker, so there was absolutely no hesitation in making the rematch,” said promoter Frank Warren. “It was an unsatisfactory finish for the two fighters, but everyone watching was treated to a tremendous contest.

“It was close and compelling, and I wouldn’t expect the second fight to be much different — although I’m sure Nathaniel will disagree with that!

“I’m also really looking forward to seeing Aston Brown take
a big step up against a proven campaigner in Sam Gilley, while the two British title fights will bring plenty of drama of their own.

“It will be a great thrill to return to Glasgow. We are building something very special there with our talented Scottish fighters, who will once again be showcasing their skills on this card.”

Collins (17-0-1, 8 KOs), from Bearsden, is a former British champion and captured the WBC Silver title in May with a dominant victory over Lee McGregor.

Lorente (20-0-3, 8 KOs), from Barcelona, first claimed the European title in March 2023 with a third-round stoppage of Andoni Gago. He regained the belt in July 2024 with a decision win over Mauro Forte and successfully defended it against Francesco Grandelli in December, before his most recent defence ended in a split draw against Ruben Gil last July.
