Early Career
Following a formidable amateur career, Hysa turned professional in 2022 and currently holds a record of 23-0, with all but two of his wins coming by way of KO.
In 2023, Hysa won the WBC CISBB heavyweight title with a first round stoppage of Maximiliano Sosa before defending his belt with a third round victory over Viktar Chvarkou in Tirana. Later in the same year he won the WBF Intercontinental title with a first round blitz of Luis Jose Marin Garcia and made a successful defence in March 2024 against Lukas Ndafoluma in his hometown.
Stepping Up
The IBO International title was secured in June of last year with a third round stoppage of Jeison Troncoso before another first round triumph came a month later against Thorsten Fuchs, this time winning him the WBO European title belt.
London called last November with a headline fight at York Hall against Ariel Bracamonte in front of an adoring Albanian crowd and his performance in inflicting a second round stoppage won him the right to defend his WBO title against another undefeated heavyweight in Todorche Cvetkov, a Macedonian with 12 wins and nine stoppages.
Hysa won the night at the Harrow Leisure Centre in February, stopping his man in the third round, before heading to Germany for fights in March and April against Yonny Molina and Edwin Castillo (another previously unbeaten heavy) respectively.
Knockout King
Hysa made his professional debut on May 14, 2022, and quickly established himself as a force in the heavyweight division. His aggressive style and punching power have led to a remarkable 90.91% knockout rate.
Titles and Achievements
WBO European Heavyweight Champion: In July 2024, Hysa claimed the WBO European heavyweight title with a first-round knockout of Germany’s Thorsten Fuchs. This victory elevated him to 11th in the global heavyweight rankings, marking the highest position ever achieved by an Albanian boxer.
Former UBO International Heavyweight Champion: Before his WBO success, Hysa held the UBO International title, compiling a 9-0 record with 7 knockouts during his reign.
Notable Fights
April 12, 2025: Defeated Edwin Castillo via third-round TKO in Bochum, Germany.
March 8, 2025: Secured a first-round KO against Yonny Molina in Ottobrunn, Germany.
November 22, 2024: Achieved a second-round KO over Ariel Esteban Bracamonte at York Hall, London.
June 7th, 2025: Stopped Patrick Korte in the second-round, live on DAZN at Portman Road.
Personal Discipline
Hysa is known for his unwavering discipline, maintaining his training and fighting schedule even during periods of fasting. He has stated, “I have been fasting for over 20 years and I have never broken it, not even when I have a match.”
