Nickname The Piranha

CONSISTENCY IS THE buzzword Ryan Garner is abiding by these days as the one-time teen talent who has morphed into a mature version of himself closes in on realising his potential and entering into title contention.

Keeping busy in the ring, staying in the gym, sticking to the diet of an athlete and seeking improvement on a daily basis is the regime strictly adhered to by the now 25-year-old.

The 2023 Piranha is applying himself to his craft like never before and his application finally matching up to his obvious talent is a heady mix that should see him progress upstream into the deeper, more dangerous waters before too long.

“I am just happy to be staying busy now,” stated the Southampton native – who defeated the 9-1 Pedro Manuel Gomes in Birmingham in November 2021 and followed up with an impressive points victory over Christian Lopez Flores in July 2022.

“It is all looking good and I am been raring to go again. I have been the lightest I have ever been throughout and making weight has been easy because I have stayed on it. Everything is just working out really well and I am buzzing to keep busy from now on.

“In the gym I am feeling so strong at the moment and I am firing on all cylinders and I am looking forward to it to the next one.”

Ryan recently hooked up with his promoter Frank Warren in London to map out future plans and tie up contract details, for what is a third agreement between the fighter and promoter.

“We obviously had a good chat and it is all positive, they have got everything lined up for me and the next one could potentially be for a title.

“It is not far away now, I have signed a new contract with Frank and everything is looking good for me. In the other years I have just been coming through really. Now, with this new contract, it is a step up right from the get-go. These next two to three years are going to be the most crucial of my career.

“I want to get in the rankings and get some sort of title to show for what I have done.

“In my performances, you will see that everything is there and in place now, physically and mentally I feel much better. Everything is better and you will see the best of me. This will be the complete package!”
