Just The Ticket!

The announcement of an absolute banger of a show in Dublin on March 14 continued the 2026 welcome trend of booming ticket sales.

Of course, as has been well documented, our opener for the year in Oberhausen for Agit Kabayel set the bar. The ’Sold Out’ signs were posted up after just a couple of days for the 13,000 arena, which gives us great confidence to transport the Kabayel Roadshow to a much bigger venue next time out.

The unfortunately delayed Magnificent 7 card that will now take place on March 28 at the fantastic Co-op Live in Manchester is following suit. It is an enormous indoor arena, the biggest and best in Europe, and we are well on course to fill it up for the first time for a boxing event.

Liverpool, in just a couple of weeks time on February 7 at the M&S Bank Arena, will be packed out for Nick Ball against Brandon Figueroa and Andrew Cain’s world title final eliminator against Alejandro Gonzalez.

Nick has spearheaded a revival of boxing in his home city and the good news is that there are so many young talents following in his footsteps, so there shouldn’t be another lull in the foreseeable future.

Last week the Queensberry team were in Dublin to officially set the ball rolling for the big show at the 3Arena featuring the WBA world super featherweight title defence for Jazza Dickens against Anto Cacace, along with a bumper clutch of other evenly matched fights.

There is nothing not to like about the chief support or co-main event between local boy Pierce O’Leary and Mark Chamberlain for the IBO world super lightweight title. It is one of those fights you just know will deliver the goods.

It will be interesting to see how the bookies see this one as fight night approaches.

We’ve also got another IBO world title at super featherweight between Jono Carroll and Colm Murphy, which will present a natural challenge from the winner to either Jazza or Anto further down the line.

And don’t forget Ryan Garner will be very much in this mix and I would imagine he will venture over from Southampton to be at ringside.

To say this card has been well received would be playing it down. The last I heard there were just 500 tickets left on sale.

Of big interest to me on the night will be the professional debuts of two elite young talents in super welterweight Bobbi Flood and heavyweight youth world champion Adam Olaniyan.

Both are very special young fighters and I fully expect them to represent the future of Irish boxing and they also give us the opportunity to instigate a revival in the territory in the same way we have in Liverpool, at the Co-op Live in Manchester, in Glasgow, on the South Coast and, most recently, in Germany. Birmingham has also been a bit of a hotbed for us over the last few years.

At the end of February, on the 28th, it will mark the first time we have promoted at the Valliant Live in Derby.

It is a small arena that holds 3,500, but shows like this are vital building blocks in this business to develop new talent and bring them to the attention of the fans.

We’ve got a cracking treble of fights heading up the bill, with a British title collision between Owen Cooper and Constantin Ursu, plus Ben Fail and Luke McCormack taking on proper tests against Mason Cartwright and Kane Gardner respectively.

It is an opportunity for these three to really put their marker down and force their way into contention for the major slots on the big arena shows.

So there is lots going on with much more to be revealed. Just be sure to grab your tickets before they are gone!
